China has built over a million 5G base stations

ISLAMABAD: Cross-sector teamwork is one of the keys to accelerate the application of 5G in more sectors, as the deployment of rapid wireless technology accelerates in China, officials and experts said Chinese.

Xin Guobin, deputy minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the country’s largest industry regulator, said that in August, China had built more than one million stations of 5G base, representing more than 70% of the world total.

At PT Expo China, a major telecommunications industry exhibition that kicked off in Beijing on Monday, Xin called for more efforts to expand the use of cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence and other technologies. increasingly closely linked to the real economy, with accelerated digital transformation across a wide range of sectors, ”Xin said.

Currently, 5G applications are in full bloom, with companies scrambling to explore its use in consumer sectors such as culture, sports and entertainment, and in industries such as manufacturing, mining, health and ports, the senior official said.
