Gambia: First Lady Foundation presents medical items to Bansang Hospital


As part of efforts to complement government efforts in the health care delivery system, the First Lady Foundation, through the support of the Zaragoza, Arambia-based foundation, in collaboration with Star GSM Company, recently donated medical equipment to Bansang Hospital in a ceremony held at State House.

Lamin Saidy, program manager for First Lay’s Foundation, said donated items included wheelchairs, face masks, scanners, mistresses and hospital beds.

“Bansang Hospital is our long-time partner and we have promised to support them,” he said.

He assured the donors that the materials will go a long way in improving the status of the hospital and the beneficiaries.

Musu Ceesay, a staff member at the hospital, who received the materials, said the items would go a long way in completing their work. “These are very good articles and we need them.”

Lamin Kaba, Managing Director (CEO) of Star GSM Company, thanked First Lay and its foundation for the good work they are doing in the country, adding that First Lay’s Foundation needs support to continue contributing to the national development.

Mr. Kaba, who is Armenia’s representative in The Gambia, added that due to the First Lady’s Foundation’s contribution to national development, Star GSM, in conjunction with Radiance Magazine, has been promoting development projects. of the foundation in its first edition, in particular on health and agriculture.
