HFCL accelerates international trade, further strengthens its management team with three new leaders

New Delhi [India], Jan. 7 (ANI / NewsView): HFCL Limited (HFCL), a leading telecommunications equipment maker and technology provider, is poised to expand its international business. HFCL’s strategy is to enter new products, new geographies and reach new customers and therefore to strengthen the company’s management team, HFCL welcomes three industry veterans.
HFCL in its wholly owned subsidiary in the Netherlands joined Andrew Westerman as Vice President of International Sales, Communications Products to lead the sales and business development of communications products in global markets.
HFCL has also joined Rajesh Jain as Executive Chairman of the EPC Projects business.
To strengthen its R&D capacity, HFCL has integrated Santanu Bhattacharyya as vice president and head of FPGA engineering.
Andrew Westerman joins HFCL as Vice President – International Sales, Communication Products. Andrew has over three decades of pre-sales, business development, outreach and networking experience. Prior to joining HFCL, Andrew was Sales Manager, EMEA region, Mimosa by Airspan, where he was responsible for managing and growing direct sales through service providers as well as indirect sales. Having held several leadership roles in renowned organizations such as Ceragon Networks, Ericsson and ICO Global Communications, Andrew will focus on sales and business development for the entire range of HFCL communications products in the international market. His appointment will further strengthen HFCL’s global leadership team.
The company had also recently taken on Dr Peter A Weimann as technical director of the fiber optic cables business and Jochen Arms as vice president of sales for the European region DACH for fiber optic cables.
Rajesh Jain, joined as Executive Chairman – Telecom EPC Projects Business. His appointment will help HFCL develop its EPC project business in national and international markets. Holder of an MBA, Rajesh has over 26 years of experience in various industries, such as Telecom & Power, EPC and O&M Projects. He has held business and cross-functional leadership roles during his career and has built strong relationships with key stakeholders in government, PSUs and the corporate sector. Prior to joining HFCL, Rajesh was associated with A2Z Infra Engineering Limited, as a full time CEO and Director and previously worked with Teracom Limited, Surana Telecom, MPI Group and Vindhya Telelinks Limited.

Santanu Bhattacharyya joined as vice president – responsible for FPGA engineering. His appointment will help HFCL seize the tremendous opportunities in the 5G space and develop HFCL products for global telecommunications markets. An industry expert in R&D with over three decades of experience, Santanu is a M.Tech. in Communications Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. Having first worked as a research engineer with CDOT, he worked with organizations like Transwitch, Solarflare, and more recently with Xilinx, where his role was the Director of Design Engineering. His main responsibility was to lead the development of Smart NICs at Xilinx in collaboration with the global Xilinx teams.
