Reliance Jio rolls out annual top-up plan of Rs 3,499 with 3GB of daily data, other benefits: check details

Like other long-term top-up plans offered by the telecommunications company, internet speed for consumers will be reduced to 64 Kbps once they have already exhausted their daily 3 GB internet data limit.

Telecommunications company Reliance Jio has implemented a new annual data plan whereby users will enjoy a total of 3 GB of high-speed internet per day throughout the year. Cumulatively, the total data provided in the annual plan costing Rs 3,499 will be a whopping 1,095 GB of data per year. Like other long-term top-up plans offered by the telecommunications company, internet speed for consumers will be reduced to 64 Kbps after they have already exhausted their daily internet data limit of 3 GB.

While Reliance Jio and other telecom players offer a plethora of annual plans to their customers, what’s unique about this plan is the amount of high-speed internet data the company offers. So far, no telecommunications company has offered 3 GB of internet data per day as part of its annual plan. Most top-up plans offered by telecommunications companies that provide 3 GB of Internet data per day are valid for 28, 56, or 84 days.

Reliance Annual Plan Rs 3,499

In line with other top-up plans offered by the company, customers will also get unlimited voice calls and 100 text messages per day nationwide. The charging plan will also give access to a host of Jio-owned services, including JioTV, JioCinema, JioNews, JioSecurity and JioCloud. However, users should take note that the company made a compromise by offering other subscription services or bonus data as part of the plan.

How Reliance Jio’s annual plan compares to other annual plans

The Airtel annual top-up plan which provides a total of 2 GB of internet data per day costs Rs 2,498. The plan also provides unlimited voice calling service as well as 100 sms per day. Airtel Xtream Premium, Free Hellotunes, Rs 100 cashback on FASTag are some of the other major attractions offered by the company as part of the annual plan.

Vodafone Idea’s annual plan, on the other hand, costs Rs 2,595, which is more than Airtel’s. The plan also compromises the amount of daily high-speed internet data by offering only 1.5 GB of data per day. However, the offsetting factor is the annual Disney + Hotstar membership. The company also offers its customers the option of using additional high-speed data free of charge between midnight and 6 a.m.
