Reno Omokri condemns Tinubu for claiming to have brought Econet to Nigeria — OsunDefenderOsunDefender

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has condemned All Progressives Congress national leader, Bola Tinubu, for claiming to have brought Econet (a communications network) to Nigeria.

Omokri, in his reaction to the statement, noted that the former President, Olusegun Obasanjo introduced the Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) in Nigeria.

He further said that Obasanjo was responsible for granting GSM licenses and insisted that Nigerians should be co-owners of foreign telecommunications.

Omokri wondered why Tinubu claims to have brought Econet to Nigeria.

The former presidential aide in a post on his Twitter account wrote: “Obasanjo introduced the GSM revolution. Obasanjo distributed GSM licenses. Obasanjo insisted that Nigerians should be co-owners of foreign telecoms. Yet Bola Tinubu now claims he brought Econet to Nigeria? Is it a sign of dementia, senility or Alzheimer’s? »

In other news, Reno said heaven would not fall if President Muhammadu Buhari served Tinubu the same treatment he gave former Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.

Omokri in a post on his Twitter account recalled how the former Governor of Lagos State allegedly hampered Ambode’s second term ambition.
