A memorandum of understanding was signed on Saturday between the Special Communications Organization (SCO) and Zong Pakistan to carry out our various telecommunications projects and activities in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB).
The signing ceremony of the MoU was attended by the Director General of the SCO, Major General Shahid Siddique, the CEO of Zong Wang Hua, the Technical Director of Zong Lu Jianhui and senior officials of the ‘OCS and de Zong.
According to a press release, Zong is reportedly working with SCO, which is Britain’s largest and most important telecommunications service provider, AJK, through its strategic activities.

“SCO will provide backhaul connectivity to Zong for a large scale outreach plan,” the press release added.
The two organizations already have experience working on joint ventures, the statement added.
